The Fondation du Collège Boréal: “An opportunity to promote excellence”
The mission of the Fondation du Collège Boréal is to help the college offer its students excellent study programs and activities promoting cultural development:
- by ensuring that no student candidate is deprived of a high-quality education or training due to a lack of money;
- by rewarding the academic and personal excellence of students in all sectors with scholarships and bursaries;
- by ensuring that the college has the appropriate teaching materials.
The foundation fulfils this mission by creating contacts with the community and by organizing fundraisers in the name of Collège Boréal.
Each year, the Fondation du Collège Boréal awards over 2500 scholarships all over the province, worth an average of 1.5 million dollars.
Parkinson’s Support Group of Sudbury – A Chapter of Parkinson Canada
The Parkinson’s Support Group of Sudbury is a group of people with Parkinson’s Disease, and interested family and community members, who gather together to learn more about the disease and how to live well with Parkinson’s. The group is a Chapter of Parkinson Canada.
Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin
The mission of the société Sudbury-Manitoulin society is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and to promote research. We strive to improve the quality of life for our clients, their families and caregivers through support services, education and advocacy.
Maison McCulloch Hospice is a centre of excellence dedicated to the collaborative delivery of quality hospice palliative care in both official languages in the Sudbury-Manitoulin District. The Hospice helps individuals and their families realize their full potential to live even when they are dying, by attending to their physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and practical needs, in the location of their choice.
The Northern Cancer Foundation (NCF) raises much needed funds for the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury. Every dollar donated stays in the Northeast and helps fund vital patient care, new equipment and leading edge cancer research. The NCF provides critical support which enables the Northeast Cancer Centre to give patients the best care possible. Your Foundation for patient care and research in the North, for the North.

The Alzheimer Society of Canada identifies, develops and facilitates national priorities that enable its members to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, promotes research and leads the search for a cure.
Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights. AI’s vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.
The Arthritis Society
The Arthritis Society works hard to try and improve the lives, treatment and care of the over 4 million people diagnosed with arthritis. But we need your help to convince the politicians, health policy planners, health councils and hospital boards of the seriousness of the disease. Become an advocate and help fight for more government dollars for research, more medical professionals specialized in the treatment of arthritis, and more access to medications.

As a public foundation, CanadaHelps uses a donor-directed funding model to facilitate online donations from donors to charities. Meals on Wheels
Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) was established as a grassroots pilot project in 1971, with the intent to keep people independent in their homes by supplying daily hot nutritious meals. Today, we serve hundreds of local residents delicious and healthy meals every week thanks to our home delivery service.
We assist those in need of nutritional support who need short term (caregiver relief, recuperation, seasonal) or long term assistance. Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) currently has approximately 129 volunteers. In 2015, these volunteers accumulated over 5,000 hours with our volunteer drivers logging over 92,000 km in deliveries alone.
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada
The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
Every hour of every day a child and their family leave the North to receive care elsewhere. Each year, approximately 3,900 children from across the Northeast make 10,000 trips to Toronto, Ottawa and London just to receive the specialized care they need. Your donation will help to purchase vital pieces of equipment, conduct life-changing research, support services and programs and increase awareness for children’s health needs.
